About Langtang Valley Trek – 12 Days

A trek to the Langtang valley has to be one of the most rewarding of the short treks available anywhere in Nepal. The east-west running valley is the site of some spectacular alpine scenery as well as being a great place to meet unique people. A minimum of one week is required but trekkers are well advised to add a few extra days for acclimatization and for side trips in the valley. Along our journey, you will walk through the Langtang National Park. Although wildlife is never easy to spot in a forest setting, here you get the chance to see some interesting animals and birds. Among those found in the park are monkeys, musk deer, Pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Danphe. The trek is best started either from Dhunche or from Syabru Besi.

Short Itinerary

  • Day 01 Touch base in Kathmandu (1,400 m). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 02 Guided Touring in the Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 03 Drive to Syabru Besi (1,462 m) on an Open Transport – 8 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

  • Day 04 Trek to Lama Inn (2,500 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

  • Day 05 Trek to Langtang town (3,307 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

  • Day 06 Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,798 m ) – 4 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

  • Day 07 Kyanjin Gompa Investigation Day. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

  • Day 08 Trek Back to Lama Inn (2,500 m) – 5.5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

  • Day 09 Trek to Syabru Bensi (1, 462 m) – 5 hours. Overnight at a Guesthouse.

  • Day 10 Drive Back to Kathmandu on an Open Transport – 8 hours. Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 11 Recreation Day and Goodbye Supper in Kathmandu. Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 12 Exchange to the Global Airplane terminal for Your Last Flight.

Trip Details

  • Day 01 - Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

    Our airplane terminal agent will get you at Tribhuvan Universal Air terminal, Kathmandu and s/he will show a Wonderfulness Himalayan Club billboard outside the air terminal. You will be then exchanged to your individual lodging in our private visitor vehicle.
    Note: On the off chance that you happen to touch base after 4 pm you would be advised about the excursion by our guide, this will be the pre-trip meeting for you, so please ensure that you ask every one of the inquiries.   • Day 02 - Guided Sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley

    Pashupatinath Sanctuary:

  • Day 03 - Drive to Syabru Besi (1,462 m) on a Public Bus - 8 hours

  • Day 09 - Trek to Sybru Besi (1,462 m) - 5 hours

  • Day 10 - Drive Back to Kathmandu on a Public Bus - 8 hours

    After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu from Sybru Bensi which will take somewhere in the range of 8 hours on an open transport.

  • Day 11 - Leisure Day and Farewell Dinner in Kathmandu

Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 30 days and 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 and 100 respectively. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos.)
