About Druk Path – 9 Days

  • Day 01 – Arrival at Paro Airport (2,280m). Overnight at a hotel.

  • Day 02 – Day trip from Paro to the Taktsang Monastery. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Day 03 – Trek from Paro to Jele Dzong (3,436m) – Distance: 8 kms – 5 hrs. Overnight at rose camps.

  • Day 04 – Trek to Jangchulakha (3,962m) – Distance: 9 kms – 5 hrs. Overnight at rose camps.

  • Day 05 – Trek to Jimilang Tsho ( 3,880m) – Distance: 10 kms – 6 hrs. Overnight at rose camps.

  • Day 06 – Trek to Simkotra (4,090m) – Distance: 7 kms – 4 hrs. Overnight at rose camps.

  • Day 07 – Trek to Thimphu by means of Phazoding – Distance: 14 kms – 7 hrs. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Day 08 – Drive from Thimphu to Paro. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Day 09 – Departure from Paro (by Druk Air)

Trip Details

  • Day 01 - Arrival at Paro Airport (2,280m)

    You can take off to Paro from Bangkok, New Delhi, Kathmandu, Dhaka and so on. We prescribe you to fly from Bangkok on the grounds that Druk air offer ordinary flight from Bangkok – Paro – Bangkok though Druk air don't work regular flights from different parts.
    Our air terminal delegate will welcome you at the air terminal and exchange to your lodging on a private vacationer vehicle. After lunch, we visit the Paro Dzong and the National Museum. The night closes with a stroll through Paro's primary shopping district.Overnight at an inn.

  • Day 02 - Day excursion from Paro to the Taktsang Monastery

    We take a day trip to Taktsang Monastery or the Tiger's Nest, the most stupendous religious community and presumably the most shot one in Bhutan. It is said that Guru Rinpoche landed here on the back of a tigress and reflected at this religious community, thus its name. The outing to religious community's view point takes around 5 hours for a round excursion. Lunch will be served at the cafeteria, trailed by a short stroll back. We'll have a recreation night to take some rest before the trekking begins the next day. Overnight at an inn.

  • Day 03 - Trek from Paro to Jele Dzong (3,436m) - Distance: 8 kms - 5 hrs

    Today is a short trekking day. We begin from over the National Museum, progressively climbing up to the camp. On the off chance that the climate is clear Paro valley and the encompassing mountains can be seen. The campground is close to the old Jele Dzong which, we can visit at night. Overnight at rose camps.

  • Day 04 - Trek to Jangchulakha (3,962m) - Distance: 9 kms - 5 hrs

    We start with a 1.5-hour climb and afterward additionally rise step by step through thick elevated woodlands and rhododendrons.     The trail takes after the edge and on a sunny morning the perspectives of the mountains and valley are excellent. Our camp is near Lake Jimilangtsho. This lake is known for its goliath measured trout. Overnight at rose camps.

  • Day 06 - Trek to Simkotra (4,090m) - Distance: 7 kms - 4 hrs

    The trail takes you through smaller person rhododendron trees and goes by the pool of Janetsho. Today you may run over some yak herder's camp. We camp overnight near Simkotra lake. Overnight at rose camps.

  • Day 07 - Trek to Thimphu via Phazoding - Distance: 14 kms - 7 hrs

    After the lake, the trail is a slow climb and if the climate grants you will have a grand perspective of Mt. Gangker Phuensum, the most elevated mountain in Bhutan, and other mountain tops. The trail gradually dives through junipers tress lastly drops down to Phajoding cloister from where Thimphu town is noticeable at the valley floor. The trek from Phajoding to Thimphu is downhill the distance, going through a forested zone for the most part blue pine. With a relaxed pace, you can achieve Thimphu in around 2 hours. Overnight at a lodging.

  • Day 08 - Drive from Thimphu to Paro

    Entire day touring of the Thimphu valley. Visit to National Library, Traditional Medicine Institute, Arts and Crafts School, Textile and Folk Heritage Museum, National Memorial Chorten, Zilukha Nunnery, Traditional paper production line, Zilukha Nunnery, Takin smaller than expected Zoo, Handicrafts Emporium, nearby shops. At long last a visit to Tashichho dzong. Night flight to Paro. Overnight at a lodging.

  • Day 09 - Departure from Paro (by Druk Air)

    After breakfast our air terminal delegate will drop you at the Paro International Airport for your flight takeoff from Bhutan.

  • Private transportation and a designated driver within Bhutan. Toyota 4WD luggage vans and light trucks for group travel. Luggage will be hauled by horses, mules or yaks at higher elevations.

  • Monument and museums entrance fees for all sightseeing locations detailed in the itinerary.

  • Cultural afternoon/evening sessions with traditional mask and folk dances (with beverages). Only for group tours.

  • Bhutan visa fees and processing assistance.

  • Government royalty (35% of $225), which goes to the country's health and education projects.
