Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)
On Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu our representative from Glory Himalayan Club will pick up and take us to our hotel. After checking in, we may visit Glory Himalayan Club’s office. There will be welcome dinner in a Nepali Restaurant where with Nepali cuisine and brief cultural program at evening.
Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation
We visit the historic Durbar Square, Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Swayambhunath and one of the largest stupas in the world Boudhanath. At noon, we get our equipment checked by our climbing leader, and introduce with fellow participants, and discuss our trip at Glory Himalayan Club’s office.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,651m/8,700ft): 3 - 4 hours trek
On flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (9,186ft), we will see most beautiful air routes in the world on a himalayas surrounded by mountainous peaks. We will meet our new team members and begin packing with them at Lukla. From Lukla, we will begin our trekking. We will start our trip by having glimpse of Mt. Khumbila (18900 ft), the mountain which has never been climbed. We will reach Phakding and spend the night there.
Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft): 5 - 6 hours
We will walk through pine forest, following trail to north to reach Benkar. We will reach Dudh Koshi River, and pass through Chumoa to Monjo. We will cross suspension bridge, and Jorsale and walk on the of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. A steep ascent brings us to the prime heartland of Sherpa village - Namche Bazaar. At one hour’s distance to reaching Namche Bazaar, if the weather permits, we can view the sights of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
- Day 05: Acclimatization Day - Namche Bazaar: (3,440m/11,284ft)
There are plenty of things to do around Namche Bazaar, and we can spend a day here acclimatizing. Namche Bazaar is the main centre of the Khumbu region and has government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, and a colorful market. Our guides can take us to explore the real charm of Namche Bazaar. Hiking to Sagarmatha National Park rewards trekkers with a sunrise view and the views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and so on. If we are interested in a day hike, we trek to Khumjung village (12401 ft)-a beautiful village with a Sherpa settlement. In exploring Namche Bazar, we observe traditional Sherpa life, Khumjung Hillary School, and enjoy flora and fauna found at such a high altitude. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Khumjung (3,810 m/12500 ft): 4 hours
We will continue our trekking to Khumjung village surrounded by Kondge, Thamserku and Khumbila mountains. Here, we visit the Edmund Hillary School and Khumjung Monastery and staynight in Khumjung.
Day 07: Khumjung to Tengboche (3,870m/12694ft): 4 - 5 hours
We walk on a jungle route which will take us to a riverbed. The village is also home to the famous Tengboche Gumba which is situated at 3,867 m and is the largest monastery in the Khumbu region of Nepal. We tour the Gumba and enjoy a panoramic view of the Himalayas, including Tawache, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Everest. Overnight in Tengboche.
Day 08: Tengboche to Kyangjuma (3,570m/11,710ft): 4 - 5 hours
From Tengboche, We will move slippery 1500ft/500m path to reach rhododendron bushes and fir trees to the Dudh Koshi River. We will pass through Tashinga and Sansa villages to reach Kyangjuma. From there here, we get to see eye-catching views of Ama-dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest.
Day 09: Kyangjuma to Monjo (2,840m/9,315ft): 4 - 5 hours
We have to reach Namche Bazaar first then continue to Monjo. The trail clings to the steep wooded slope beyond Kyangjuma, winding through several bends. We keep an eye for wildlife such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colorful pheasants, etc. when passing through a forest trail. A steep descent takes us to a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. We cross the river twice at separate locations before reaching Monjo.
Day 10: Monjo to Lukla: 5- 6 hours
The trail descends steeply before it cuts up to the airstrip in Chauri Kharka. On the way we pass Phakding and Chopling villages. The climb from Chauri Kharka is the final climb of the trek. You will celebrate your accomplishment together with the local crew members in Lukla. Overnight in Lukla.
Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu
Our trek leader will drop us at hotel in Kathmandu after morning flight from lukla to kathmandu. We may visit a popular Tourist hub in Kathmandu for some shopping and visit popular tourist attractions nearby. There will be farewell dinner on celebration of trek completion
Day 12: Final departure
A representative from Glory Himalayan Club will drop us off at the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight and you will move toward your home.
